REMOVABLE
These braces are
usually used as a short term treatment in the under 12’s
and can be used to:
a) Move a front tooth forward
because it is trapped
b) Expand the upper jaw to correct
a cross bite (top tooth inside the bottom teeth)
c)
Help to open the bite if
the bottom front teeth are covered by top teeth
d)
Hold the back teeth in
place whilst the other adult teeth erupt.
How long does it take? -
Between 3 and 15 months
How often do I wear it? - All
the time except for the 3 s’s
- school,
sport and scoff (eating!)
